Working in A Wide Variety of Mediums

Dawna Kinne Magliacano has been an artist since age 10 when her older sister took time to sit and teach her a technique for line relationship drawing, it started her long love affair with art.  Having some formal training, but mostly self-taught through books, workshops, DVD’s and online tutorials, after 20 years in a professional career, Dawna retired early to open her own studio, workshop space in Rockvale, TN where she has been sharing her love of art by teaching and creating her work on a full-time basis.

“I love telling a good story, verbally or with paint, glue, ink or any other substance I can get a hold of and put on a substrate. It’s important to me that the art I create have something to say.”  From portraiture, figurative and landscape work to mixed media contemporary and assemblage, she loves all the mediums. Dawna shares regularly on her blog about her process.

For more information on her workshops and classes available visit her blog site at Additional fiber works and soft sculpture pieces are available at her Etsy Shop, – there you will see yet another venue for her artistic expression.
